Data visualization is taking the world by storm—including the evaluation world! Charts and graphs built on dataviz principles are transforming evaluation reporting and increasing the evaluator’s communication power. Breaking out of the standard 8.5 by 11 written report is the next frontier! Long, dense reports are less likely to be read by evaluation stakeholders, and less likely to make an impact. This session will provide principles and case studies of new, visual approaches to evaluation reporting. We will provide examples, such as incorporating a wealth of visuals in text reports, using large format hand-outs to emphasize findings, and designing slide reports. Tips and tools will be provided to help evaluators streamline and enhance their own reporting.
